If you want to get into incursion fleets just join the channel "btl pub", make sure to let them know go petition blizzard (the corp) sent you and you'll learn a lot about incursions and how they are run.

Hehe, true. Still, surely you aren't using NPC corp alts to run incursions?
The new war dec mechanics should have interesting repercussions for shiny incursion corps either way, if they truly do remove dec shield mechanics and reduce the effectiveness of corp hopping then incursions might actually end up being quite a bit of fun

True, but they also claimed it will not count trial accounts. So even if you triple alliance size by forcing all members to use all their character slots the effect would (probably) be negligible. They're also adding a cost to corp hopping, and not allowing players to leave then rejoin during an ongoing war.
I'm just hoping that this forces incursion corps, and other high profile high sec targets, to use mercenaries or the new surrender mechanism rather than just hop corp or dec shield.
If it works out well it might even convince me to come back to HS for a while  And if it works really well I wouldn't even mind them toning down the planned incursion nerfs a little, high sec with functional war dec mechanics would certainly qualify as a pretty risky base of operations in my book.
Anyhoo, sorry for derailing thread, just found the concept of an incursion shiny alliance amusing

Usable, maybe, but a 20km falloff reduction and 0.02 reduction to tracking is rarely going to translate into optimal.

No he didn't  He just said cool story bro, as in "oh wow a 1400 DPS mach, who the hell cares?!".
You can beat 1400 DPS easily with enough officer mods, without even bothering to fit hail. It just isn't that much of an achievement unless it is fitted expensively or cleverly.
Judging from the fact that this guy has been on a waiting list for three weeks I'm going to presume he just loaded up EFT and spent 10 minutes going "HURR, DURR, MOAR DEEPS".
